Sunil Gavaskar, whose full name is Sunil Manohar Gavaskar, was born on July 10 1949, in Bombay, India. Sunil Gavaskar is an Indian former opener batsman who played for India from 1971 to 1987.
Gavaskar’s technique against fast bowling was well respected, and he achieved a particularly high average of 65.45 against the West Indies. The West Indies had a four-pronged fast bowling attack, which is largely considered to be the most cruel in the history of test cricket.
