Early Life
Jeanne Beker was born to Joseph Beker and Bronia Beker in Toronto, Ontario. She finished her high school at William Lyon Mackenzie Collegiate.
Career
Beker started his professional journalism career in the late 1970s. In her early career, she became famous by launching the magazine show The New Music, which co-hosted with her co-host J. D. Roberts. Additionally, she served as a journalist for CityPulse. On MuchMusic, she provided a brief hosting role for Rockflash news pieces.
In 1995, she introduced the inaugural fashion website on the Internet, @Fashion.
From 2012 until 2014, she was a fashion and entertainment host for Bell Media shows such as Canada AM, The Marilyn Denis Show, and CTV News. The Canadian reality show Canada’s Next Top Model included Beker as a judge from 2006–2009.

Her exceptional achievements in the Canadian television industry were recognized with a Gemini Award in 2013. Beker currently serves as a columnist for The Globe and Mail.
In 2001 and 2002, Beker debuted Eaton’s “Jeanne Beker” and Sears Canada’s “Inside Out by Jeanne Beker” exclusive fashion lines, respectively. The Shoe Company and Beker launched a footwear line in 2013, and FYSH UK and Beker launched an eyewear collection.
In 2014, Beker collaborated with The Shopping Channel, an electronic store owned by Rogers Media, to launch a capsule line of apparel, fashion jewelry, and eyewear.

Jeanne was previously wedded to Bob Magee. Their marriage lasted for 12 years before they decided to part ways through divorce. Together, they have been blessed with two daughters, Sarah Jo O’Neil and Rebecca Leigh O’Neil.
