Early Life

Jason Atherton was born in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, England, to Sandra Keightley. At 16, he boldly decided to leave his hometown and venture to London to pursue his career aspirations.

He first registered at Lincolnshire Boston College before undergoing a six-week training program with the Army Catering Corps.

Career

Jason began his professional journey at Maze Restaurant, where he held the position of CEO until 2010. Subsequently, he departed from Maze and established his inaugural restaurant venture, The Social Company, in Shanghai in May 2010. This establishment gained global recognition and secured the impressive sixth position in The Good Food Guide’s rankings.

After that, he partnered with Yenn Wong of the JIA Group to launch 22 ships in Hong Kong and Esquina, a tapas bar in Singapore’s Chinatown, to further his commercial empire in Asia.
