Fani Willis was brought up in California. Her parents are John C. Floyd III and an undisclosed mother. Willis’ family relocated to Washington, when she was in the first standard. Following her parents’ divorce, her mother went back to California. Willis spent her early years with her father.

She graduated from Regina Catholic High School.  In 1993, she completed her studies with honors. Additionally, she attended Emory University School of Law and obtained her Juris Doctor degree in 1996.

Career

Fani Willis began her professional journey in public service as a prosecutor. She focused on city code violations, managing minor cases, and being a solicitor.

 In 2018, she established her own private practice. She ran for a position on the Fulton County Superior Court. But, she was not successful. The following year, in 2019, Willis was appointed as the top judge for South Fulton, Georgia.

Fani Willis has contributed to the legal world. She did this by taking part in many prominent cases. In them, she showed her skill at navigating the complex legal system. It spans from tricky white-collar crimes to problems of national importance.

Personal Life

Willis first met Fred Willis when he was employed as a photographer. They tied the knot in 1996. Together they have two children, Nia Kisure and Kinaya Imani Willis. The couple split their ways in 2005.She was also involved in a relationship with Nathan Wade.
